Jasprit Bumrah donates shoes after Lord’s fifer to MCC Museum

Jasprit Bumrah donated his shoes to the MCC Museum following his five-wicket haul at Lord’s on Friday. The shoes have now been kept in the upper tier of the museum that features several cricketing kits used by some of the legends of the game.

While Bumrah has kept the match ball, his autographed shoes were donated to the museum after day’s play. As he claimed his 13th five-wicket haul in away Tests, the most by an Indian – Bumrah said that making it to the prestigious Honours Board at Lord’s did make him happy.

“It’s a good thing to come to the Honours Board. When my son grows up, I can tell him that my name is on the Honours Board and it is also on many other places,” Bumrah said.

He also has fond memories at Lord’s where he and Mohammed Shami forged an 89-run partnership for the ninth wicket to guide India to a massive victory in 2021.
