Tejaswin Shankar bettered his own National Record in decathlon after finishing fourth at the Wieslaw Czapiewski Memorial with 7826 points in Poland on Sunday.
At the end of Day 1 of World Athletics Combined Events Tour Gold meeting, the Indian topped the standings after amassing 4292 points. He’d also clocked a Personal Best of 11.02s in 100m which was the first of the 10 events in the sport.
His tally of 7666 points at the 2023 Asian Games was the previous National Record in the event.
