Manchester United’s manager, Ruben Amorim, had promised the club’s fans that better days were coming after the final matchday last season. And that journey could very well continue on Thursday when the Red Devils take on Bournemouth in the Premier League Summer series.
United has played four pre-season matches so far and has lost just the first game, against ASEAN all-stars. These games are expected to provide valuable game time to new signings, Matheus Cunha, Diego Leon and Bryan Mbuemo, before the Premier League begins.
Meanwhile, the Cherries come into the match after a 3-0 win over Everton and will look to continue their preparations for the league in Chicago.
Though the side is weakened after defender Dean Huijsen joined Real Madrid last summer, Bournemouth has not lost to United since May 2023 in a competitive fixture —one that could be enough to pull off another upset.
