Durand Cup 2025: Indian Navy plays goalless draw with NEROCA, Mohammedan picks consolation win

Indian Navy FT picked up a crucial point by playing a goalless draw against NEROCA FC in a Durand Cup 2025 Group-F match at the Khuman Lampak Main Stadium in Imphal.

Both teams had several scoring opportunities but failed to find the finishing touch. The result saw the Indian Navy reach the top of the current group standings with four points from a win and a draw, while NEROCA remained in the third spot, earning two points from as many draws.

With Real Kashmir placed second with three points from its two outings, the group league positions will be decided in the final round of action next week.

The wooden spoon encounter of Group B saw Mohammedan Sporting securing a win after successive losses by downing Border Security Force FC 3-0 at the Kishore Bharati Stadium in Kolkata.

Mohammedan, which lost its previous two matches against Diamond Harbour FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant (both currently on six points each), went ahead early against BSF when Sajal Bag scored a penalty in the fifth minute. Forward Maharabam Maxion struck twice in nine minutes to complete the scoring for the Kolkata giant. The latter ended its campaign with three points while BSF lost all its matches.

Group-B (Kolkata): Mohammedan Sporting 3 (Sajal Bag 5-pen, Maharabam Maxion 21, 30) bt BSF FC 0.

Group-F (Imphal): Indian Navy FT 0 drew with NEROCA FC 0.
