Ariana Grande’s most recent album Eternal Sunshine is almost a year and a half old. The singer dropped the set in March 2024, and she’s been promoting it ever since, although at times her efforts have been more intense than at others. Fans in the United Kingdom are still consuming Eternal Sunshine to this day, and even as the set falls on several tallies, it returns to multiple other lists as the Grammy winner and Oscar-nominated actress rebounds onto a pair of charts.
Eternal Sunshine Returns to Multiple Charts
Eternal Sunshine lives on four album rankings in the U.K. this week. It breaks back onto both the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales charts, coming in at Nos. 90 and 96, respectively, after not finding space on either just days ago.
It’s not unusual for full-lengths from superstars like Grande to appear on general consumption tallies or even streaming-focused rosters for months or years, as streaming has become the primary way for millions of people to continually consume music. Sales are usually strongest when a project is brand new or when it’s being actively promoted via a tour or in some other fashion. Grande isn’t pushing Eternal Sunshine in any major way at the moment, and yet her fan base in the U.K. has clearly not gotten enough of the set.
Ariana Grande’s Album Falls on Two Other Lists
In addition to the two sales tallies, Eternal Sunshine also lives on the Official Albums Streaming chart and the Official Albums ranking, which is a consumption-based list. Eternal Sunshine drops a few spaces on both, landing at No. 75 on the streaming-only roster and No. 76 on the other ranking.
The History of Eternal Sunshine on the Charts
Eternal Sunshine has only spent about half as many weeks on the sales rosters as it has on both the Official Albums chart and the streaming tally. The studio effort recently passed 70 frames on the latter two, while it has yet to crack 40 on either purchase-focused list.
Grande’s Eternal Sunshine peaked at No. 2 on both the Official Album Sales and Official Physical Albums rankings, while the singer scored a new No. 1 on the Official Albums chart and Official Albums Streaming list.
