Bangladesh, the runner-up of the 2023 U-17 SAFF Women’s Championship, will look to make amends when it begins the 2025 edition of the tournament against host Bhutan on Wednesday.
Bangladesh has seen a rise in women’s football in the last few years, winning the under-16 SAFF Championship last year and qualifying for the senior women’s Asian Cup earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Bhutan’s best performance in the tournament remains in the U-15 SAFF Championship, where it finished third.

The U-17 SAFF Women’s Championship match between Bangladesh and Bhutan will be played at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan.
