Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner confirmed Eberechi Eze will not play for the Premier League club against Fredrikstad in the UEFA Conference League play-off on Friday (IST) with the forward set to join Arsenal.
According to reports, the 27-year-old England international is set to join Arsenal after his move to fellow north-London side Tottenham Hotspur was hijacked by the Gunners.
Eze played in Palace’s 0-0 draw at Chelsea in their opening Premier League game, and manager Glasner had no qualms about playing him against the Norwegian.

Eze scored the winner against Manchester City in the FA Cup final to seal Palace’s first venture into Europe, albeit in the Conference League rather than the Europa League, and remains a popular figure in the dressing room and with the fans.
Reports in English media suggest that Arsenal is playing £60m plus £7.5m in add-ons for the services of the attacker, who was previously a part of the Gunners’ Hale End academy and grew up as an Arsenal fan.
