English forward Eberechi Eze completed his move to North London side Arsenal, the Premier League side confirmed on Saturday.
“A boyhood Gooner, our new number 10 – welcome home, Ebere,” the club posted on its social media platforms, announcing its new arrival.
According to media reports, Tottenham Hotspur was in for the player but Arsenal swooped in and acquired the services of the highly-rated winger.
The 27-year-old joins the Gunners after spending five years with Crystal Palace. He joined the Eagles back in 2020 and made 147 appearances for them in the Premier League.
Eze scored the winner against Manchester City in the FA Cup final to seal Palace’s first venture into Europe, where the side will play in the Conference League.
The forward, who has 57 goal contributions in England’s top-tier, has also played for the national team. He made his England debut back in 2023 and was part of the squad which made the 2024 European Championship final.
