John Cena and Logan Paul come face-to-face on SmackDown.

WWE SmackDown’s Go Home show for WWE Clash in Paris advertised John Cena and Logan Paul face-to-face, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs. the Secret Hervice for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, the Street Profits vs. Melo Don’t Miz and Solo Sikoa vs. Sami Zayn for the WWE United States Championship.
With no Cody Rhodes or John Cena, last week’s broadcast of WWE SmackDown garnered 1.258 million viewers, one of its lowest numbers of 2025.

Logan Paul Goes Off On John Cena In France
WWE SmackDown’s pre-show walkouts showed Solo Sikoa (Boo), Sami Zayn (Cheers) and Drew McIntyre (Cheers). Fans were going nuts before anything even happened. Wade Barrett called it the greatest WWE crowd of all time. He might be right.
Logan Paul was booed as loud as anybody, and he cut an amazing bilingual promo. Is there anything this influencer can’t do? Other than hang with Floyd Mayweather?
Logan Paul too credit for WWE’s deals with Netflix and ESPN, purporting to be worth $6.6 billion. This isn’t the WWE. It’s the WW-Me.
Paul ran down the LDLC Arena in French as they booed as loud as they could. Paul told them to get on board or be left behind. Cena interrupted Paul’s promo to an unbelievable pop followed by a singalong.
Cena calmly corrected Logan Paul: “If we don’t have the fans, we don’t have a show. They’re not going to get left behind, they’re the ones who set the pace…” Bars.
Cena gave Paul a lesson in Thuganomics, calling Paul a wannabe. Cena accused Paul of being a dollar-store John Cena.
Cena went low, talking about the list of the Top 25 influencers in the world. Cena shouted out Druski, iShowSpeed, Kai Cenat…but not Logan Paul.
Cena said when Logan Paul makes the front page, it’s for the wrong reasons. He’s not here to save wrestling, he’s here to save his own ass. This had the flavor of Cena’s scathing blurred lines promos against Austin Theory, Jack Swagger and Roman Reigns.
French fans chanted in french at Cena. Cena responded with some French of his own and they went crazy. Logan Paul spoke in France, and he was booed out of the building.
Cena called out a person in the crowd. It was the kid he made fun of when he was a heel. Cena publicly apologized to the Belgian child. Paul mocked Cena for flip-flopping between heel and a babyface.
WWE Opening Segment Grade: A
Alexa Bliss Def. Chelsea Green
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss were jumped from behind by Chelsea Green and the Alba Fyre before the match started.
Bliss exploded on Chelsea Green in what was now a singles match between Bliss and Green. Piper Niven could not be medically cleared. Charlotte Flair was escorted to the back with a knee injury.
The French crowd were even into the countouts of this match, counting along and then giving Bliss a loud ovation when she made it back to the ring.
Green blocked Twisted Bliss, but Bliss was able to roll her up for the win.
After the match, the Secret Hervice jumped Alexa Bliss again. Charlotte came limping down to the ring to come to the aid of her partner. Green and Fyre got the better of the banged up tag team champions and stood tall.
Alexa Bliss vs Chelsea Green Grade: B
Michin Def. Kiana James
The entrances lasted longer than the match. James came rushing in, and Michin countered with a rollup for the win.
James and Giulia gang-attacked Michin before Giulia stomped her face on the stair steps.

Drew McIntyre Calls Out Randy Orton
Drew McIntyre called out Michael Cole for glazing Cody Rhodes, and sarcastically asked for a medical update after McIntyre took out Rhodes on the August 8 SmackDown.
Randy Orton interrupted McIntyre and fans sang along to his song.
McIntyre told Orton that Cody Rhodes isn’t his friend. He brought up several examples of Cody Rhodes taking advantage of Orton for his own benefit.
Orton said he didn’t help Cody for Cody, he helped Cody because McIntyre is a prick. The two brawled with a surprising amount of their signature moves. Orton RKO’d every WWE official that moved (including Hurricane) before teasing a punt. McIntyre moved out of the way and retreated.
Drew McIntyre-Randy Orton Segment Grade: B
Street Profits Def. Melo Don’t Miz
Backstage, Bo Dallas—the unmasked Mr. Howdy—approached various talent as he was rambling in riddles.
Fans were really into the Street Profits. They were even vibing to their less popular new theme music.
Melo took control of the match, leading to “Melo” chants in the cadence of a “Goldberg” chant.
Montez Ford had a great hot tag, but Melo made a blind tag as Ford went for a Frog Splash. Melo hit a Frog Splash of his own for a nearfall.
The Wyatt Sicks hit the ring as The Miz was distracted. This left Melo alone when he needed to tag, and Melo took the Revelation for the loss.
Street Profits vs. Melo don’t Miz Grade: B
Sami Zayn Def. Solo Sikoa
Sami Zayn’s entrance lasted forever, including a commercial break. This didn’t make France any less emotional about it.
Solo Sikoa dominated the match by the time they came from break. MFT got involved intermittently. Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu (from the barricade) evened the odds.
Fans chanted for Fatu as him and Jimmy Uso cleaned house, leaving Sami and Solo one-on-one.
Fans bit on a nearfall after a Blue Thunder Bomb. Sami tried a Helluva Kick, but Solo moved out of the way. Solo slammed Sami on the announce table with a Spinning Solo before SmackDown’s final break.
The match came down to an epic one-on-one showdown as Sami won the United States Title with two Helluva Kicks.
