Lionel Messi scored and assisted as Inter Miami beat Seattle Sounders 3-1 during their Major League Soccer match at the Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Wednesday.
After losing to the same opponent in the Leagues Cup 2025 final earlier this month, Inter Miami looked much better as it took the lead through Jordi Alba in the 12th minute, assisted by Lionel Messi.
Messi then doubled the lead with four minutes of regulation time left in the first half, with Alba returning the favour with a pinpoint cross into the penalty box.
Ian Fray bagged the third after heading in a corner played in by Rodrigo De Paul.
