Monaco captain Denis Zakaria has been ruled out for two months with a thigh injury which already sidelined the Swiss midfielder for its midweek Champions League defeat at Club Brugge, coach Adi Hutter said Saturday.
“We don’t expect to see him on the pitch for at least two months,” Hutter said ahead of Sunday’s home Ligue 1 game with Metz.
Zakaria will miss Champions League matches against Manchester City, Tottenham and Bodo Glimt at least with doubts for the games with Pafos in late November and Galatasaray in early December.

Monaco was thumped 4-1 by Club Brugge during the week without Zakaria who pulled up injured in training, though the extent of the loss was only revealed on Saturday.
Monaco has nine points from four games so far in Ligue 1 after finishing third behind Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille last season.
