The Indian eFootball (console) team, affectionately known as the eTigers, is set to begin its campaign in the FIFAe World Cup 2025 Regional Online Qualifiers (ROQ). The team will compete in the Asia East & Oceania qualifiers, which are being held from September 24 to 27, 2025.
The four-member squad, comprising Abhishek Dhar, Chinmay Sahoo, Ibrahim Gulrez, and Mahendra Chawda, has been placed in Group A. They will face teams from Malaysia, Thailand, Guam, Myanmar, Macau, Bhutan, and Brunei Darussalam.
The team selection was based on the results of domestic qualifiers held on September 6, where Gulrez and Sahoo emerged as the winners, and Chawda and Dhar were the runners-up.

The group stage will feature a double round-robin format, with all matches being best-of-one encounters. The top four teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, a double-elimination bracket. These knockout matches are best-of-two, decided by aggregate scores. The winners of the upper bracket semi-finals and the winner of the lower bracket Round 3 will secure their spots in the prestigious FIFAe Finals in Riyadh in December 2025.
The eTigers’ journey begins with their first match against Bhutan today, September 24. Fans can follow all the action live on Indian Football’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. The team is eager to make its mark and earn a place among the world’s elite eFootball competitors.
