India survived a humdinger of a finish in its final Super Fours fixture against Sri Lanka on Friday and prevailed in a super over to keep its unbeaten run intact in the Asia Cup 2025.
Sri Lanka, which was already knocked out, needed 203 runs to secure its first victory in Super Fours. Pathum Nissanka struck a century but could only get his side level with India.
Arshdeep Singh’s slew of yorkers in the super over ensured India needed just three runs to claim a win, which Suryakumar Yadav managed in just one delivery.
India will now face off against arch-rival Pakistan in the final on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, their third meeting in this Asia Cup.
