Pakistan players were booed by the crowd during the presentation ceremony after the Asia Cup 2025 Final in Dubai on Sunday.
Following the close encounter, which India won by five wickets, Pakistan players delayed the post-match presentation proceedings for over an hour even as the Indian team and dignitaries waited.
When the side was invited on the stage to receive their runners-up medals, the crowd at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium expressed its displeasure.
The Indian fans in the audience also initiated chants of ‘India, India’ and ‘Kohli, Kohli’.
Further, the Indian team refused to accept the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Asian Cricket Council, president of the Pakistan Cricket Board, and an interior minister in Pakistan.
