Jamshedpur FC extends defender Sarthak Golui’s contract

Jamshedpur FC has extended the contract of defender Sarthak Golui for the season 2025-26 season. He had featured for the Men of Steel in the Durand Cup earlier this season.

The 27-year-old defender from Kolkata, capable of playing both as a centre-back and right-back, is a product of the AIFF Elite Academy. Golui has previously represented Mohun Bagan, Pune City, Mumbai City FC, East Bengal, and Chennaiyin FC, before turning out for Inter Kashi in the I-League last season.

Golui scored the first goal of the season for Jamshedpur in the Durand Cup opener. He went on to feature in every match of the campaign, impressing with his defensive solidity and willingness to support attacks, helping JFC reach the quarterfinals.

“I am very happy to extend my stay and continue my journey with Jamshedpur FC. I look forward to creating many special memories with the club, both on and off the pitch,” said Sarthak Golui after signing the extension.

Head Coach Steven Dias praised the defender’s commitment: “I was very impressed with the way Sarthak performed in the Durand Cup. He gave everything for the team and having him with us adds real strength and character to our defence.”
