Singapore, on Monday, announced a 26-man squad for the two AFC Asian Cup third-round qualifiers — first home and then away — against India.
The Lions will host India at the National Stadium on October 9 before travelling to Goa for the return fixture five days later.
Singapore currently tops its qualifying group — Group C — with four points after two matches, following a 2-1 win against Bangladesh in June.
“The September FIFA window was aimed at preparing ourselves for these two important matches against India, as we aim to put ourselves in a good position for the remainder of the qualification campaign,” Singapore’s interim head coach, Gavin Lee, said.
“There were positives that we will look to build on, and also lessons about ourselves that we’ve taken away.”

The Lions’ captain, Hariss Harun, returns to the squad after missing the September window through injury, while midfielders Ong Yu En (21) and Jonan Tan (19) were handed maiden senior call-ups.
“We believe the squad we’ve assembled are acutely aware of what qualification means for Singapore football and they understand the standards required to accomplish the task that lies ahead,” Lee added.
“Now it’s up to us as a group to prepare well and go out there and deliver.”
