Jamshedpur FC announced Tuesday that Serbian defender Lazar Cirkovic has extended his stay with the club for the 2025-26 season.
Cirkovic, who joined the club last year, played a pivotal role in the team’s campaign in the Indian Super League, helping the club reach the semifinal. He also played a vital role in the team reaching the Super Cup final.
“It feels great to continue my journey with Jamshedpur FC. The support from the fans and the trust from the club mean a lot to me. Last season gave me a lot of confidence, and I want to build on that to help the team achieve even more success. We have a strong squad, and I am excited to give my best and fight for trophies with the Men of Steel,” said Cirkovic on his contract extension.

Speaking on Cirkovic’s renewal, head coach Steven Dias said, “Lazar was one of our most reliable players last season, and his leadership and composure on the field gave us great confidence as a team. Having him with us again will be a big boost, especially with the intensity of the Super Cup. His experience will help our younger players and bring stability to the squad.”
Cirkovic, who made 19 appearances for Chennaiyin FC before moving to Jamshedpur, also won the Serbian First Division and Serbian Cup twice with FK Partizan Belgrade from 2014-17, including a double in the 16-17 season.
He has experience in the UEFA Europa League and Champions League qualifiers, apart from representing Serbia at youth international levels.
