IND vs WI: What is the India vs West Indies predicted XI for first Test?

India will be looking to get its red-ball home season off to a positive start with a win over West Indies in the first Test of its two-match series with the West Indies. Shubman Gill will be looking to secure his first series victory as Indian Test captain, while the West Indies is out to get its first series victory against India since 2002.

India comes into this series without a host of seasoned names, including R. Ashwin, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma, all of whom have retired since India’s last home series. However, its young team provided a strong showing in England and will be looking to continue that momentum in this series.

West Indies’ preparations for the series have been struck by injuries to fast bowlers Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph as it looks to secure a series victory under captain Roston Chase, and bounce back from being bowled out for 28 in its last outing.
