Alisson to be out of action for six weeks, likely to miss Manchester United clash — reports

In what will be a major blow to defending Premier League champion Liverpool, Alisson is said to be out of action for the next six weeks due to an injury.

The Brazil goalkeeper has suffered a hamstring injury, according to reports. The timespan for which he’s reportedly set to be sidelined includes the November international break.

The 33-year-old custodian possibly suffered the injury during Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League loss against Galatasaray when he came off in the 56th minute after seeming to hurt his knee.

Alisson has so far played Liverpool’s all six matches in the Premier League, letting in seven goals and keeping two clean sheets.

Liverpool, currently leading the standings in the domestic league, is set to travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea this weekend. The Reds will face arch-rival Manchester United on October 19, a match which Alisson is set to miss as it stands.
