IND vs WI, 1st Test: India registers its third-largest innings win against West Indies

India registered its third-largest innings win over West Indies, in the first Test in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

The Shubman Gill-led side trumped the visiting team by an innings and 140 runs, securing the win inside three days.

While KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja starred with the bat, scoring fluent hundreds, Mohammed Siraj led the charge with the ball, ending with a match haul of 7/71.

Only twice has India beaten West Indies by a bigger margin in an innings win – Rajkot (2018) and Roseau (2023).

India will face West Indies in the second Test, starting on October 10 in New Delhi.
