Jamshedpur FC announced a two-year contract extension for Pronay Halder on Sunday, with the midfielder committing himself to the Men of Steel until the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
The experienced midfielder, who first joined Jamshedpur in its Indian Super League Shield-winning season, has been a vital presence in the centre of the park. This marks his second contract renewal with the club, following his previous one-year extension announced last year.
Pronay, who is a Tata Football Academy graduate, had a good season last year as he came back from an injury to guide the team to the semifinal of the ISL.
Expressing his delight at continuing his journey with Jamshedpur, Pronay said, “I am very happy to continue with Jamshedpur FC. This club has given me a lot of confidence and responsibility, and I feel at home here. We have built a strong core under the new setup, and my focus now is to help the team fight for trophies and make the fans proud. The support from the people of Jamshedpur has always been special to me.”

The club also announced that Samir Murmu, the Kolhan-born midfielder and Santosh Trophy winner, has extended his contract with the club after his debut season with Jamshedpur FC last season.
The 24-year-old from Bhagaband village near Ghatsila rose to prominence with his standout performances in the 2023–24 Santosh Trophy, where he was named Player of the Tournament after scoring 10 goals in 13 matches for Jharkhand.
Speaking on his extension, Samir said, “Playing for Jamshedpur FC is a dream I’m living every day. This club represents my home, and I feel proud every time I wear the jersey. My aim is to work harder, improve with every training session, and make the people of Jharkhand proud. The fans here are passionate, and I want to give them more moments to celebrate.”
