Why is Ronaldo not starting?
With no official injury news, it seems that Al Nassr coach Jorge Jesus has started Ronaldo on the bench to manage the Portuguese star’s workload.
With the FIFA World Cup next year, players all over the world will be wary of suffering any long-term injury that might hamper their chances of playing in the World Cup.
Also, with Jeddah being a second-tier team, even without Ronaldo, Al Nassr will be superior on paper. Apart from the Portuguese, Jesus has also kept Sadio Mane, Kingsley Coman, and Joao Felix on the bench.
