Ashique Kuruniyan joins Bengaluru FC for second stint from Mohun Bagan

India international Ashique Kuruniyan has joined Bengaluru FC on a long-term deal, the Indian Super League outfit announced on Friday.

The 28-year-old winger from Kerala joins the Blues after spending three seasons with Mohun Bagan Super Giant, during which he won two ISL Cups and one ISL Winner’s Shield.

For the Mariners, he featured in 49 matches — having been sidelined for periods due to injuries — in those three years, scoring just once and proving three assists.

This will be Kuruniyan’s second stint with the Bengaluru-based side after he had spent three seasons with the team — between 2019 and 2022.

In his first spell with the club, the speedy forward featured in 44 matches, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
