The arrival of the international break provides more nations the opportunity to book their berths for the FIFA World Cup 2026 to be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
So far, 18 teams (including the hosts) have secured their spots in the revamped premier tournament, leaving 30 spots up for the taking.

Forty-three teams will get their spots through continental qualifying tournaments. Another two will secure their places in the intercontinental play-offs featuring six teams and scheduled for March 2026.
