Tamil Nadu’s left arm orthodox spinner R. Sai Kishore picked a five-wicket haul for Surrey in the County Championship match against Durham at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street on Thursday.
Sai Kishore had picked two wickets on the second day, and claimed Codi Yusuf, Bas de Leede and Matthew Potts on the third day to complete the fifer (5/72). He ended the match with seven wickets.
He now has 11 wickets from two games at an average of 24.
His exploits helped Surrey bundle out Durham for 344 runs, in turn keeping the target to just 176 runs.
In Division Two, Yuzvendra Chahal picked two wickets on the fourth day for Northamptonshire against Derbyshire. The leg-spinner had picked a six-wicket haul in the first innings, and needs two more on the final day to complete 10 wickets for the match.
Interestingly, Chahal picked wickets off successive deliveries and was on a hat-trick before Wayne Madsen saw out the third delivery.
For Hampshire, Tilak Varma scored an unbeaten 33 runs off 62 deliveries against Worcestershire. Hampshire finished the third day at 139 for two, leading the game by 183 runs.
