Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison suffered a knee injury during its pre-season match against Newcastle United on Sunday at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
Late in the 1-1 draw, Maddison went down during an off-the-ball incident where he appeared to tweak his knee. He then had to be stretchered off the pitch.
Maddison, 28, had recently returned from a season-ending knee injury, which he had suffered in May.

“James Maddison’s injury looks bad. It was a brutal moment,” Spurs boss Thomas Frank said after the game.
“We’re pretty sure it was the same knee he injured before.”
The pre-season friendly’s high point was Son Heung-min’s second-half exit in likely his last game for Tottenham. The 33-year-old captain was surrounded by both sets of players before eventually sitting on the bench in tears.
I think sometimes in life and football things can be both beautiful and brutal,” Frank added. “That’s what we got today. It looks like with Madders, a bad injury and then on the other side, unbelievable scenes for Son from his team-mates and the respect from the Newcastle players.”
