India forward Sunil Chhetri was the notable name missing from Khalid Jamil’s first camp after being appointed as the Indian men’s national team’s head coach.
A total of 22 players have reported to the camp in Bengaluru, with 13 names yet to join, ahead of the country’s maiden appearance in the CAFA Nations Cup.
Goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu returned to the national team set-up after being dropped by former coach Manolo Marquez’s plans.
