First-timer Diamond Harbour showed 16-time champion East Bengal the door after a 2-1 win in the Durand Cup 2025 semifinal on Wednesday at the Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata.
It was former East Bengal man Jobby Justin who spoiled the Red and Gold Brigade’s party after netting the winner after Anwar Ali’s long ranger cancelled out Mikel Kortazar’s bicycle kick.
Diamond Harbour will now face defending champion NorthEast United FC in the summit clash.
