East Bengal jumped to first place in Group A of the ongoing Calcutta Football League (CFL) 2025-26 season after it defeated George Telegraph SC 4-0 on Tuesday at the Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay Stadium in Barrackpore.
PV Vishnu netted a brace while Sayan Banerjee and Manotos Maji found the back of the net for the Red and Gold Brigade. All the goals came in the second half.
With this win, East Bengal now has amassed 20 points at the end of 10 matches, notching up six wins, drawing twice and suffering two defeats.
